AI Austria monthly: March Update
Launching our job board, impact of ChatGPT on startups and companies, state of AI investments, new challenges and grant programs and many more topics.
In February our homepage received a few long overdue facelifts. To prepare for more frequent news updates and a new home for long-form content we redesigned the news section. If you would like to write about a specific topic or cause just drop us a line, we are always looking for (guest) contributors. The other update is a direct reaction to THE most requested feature from our community - a jobs section (read more below).
Public interest in AI remains strong, especially since the hype around ChatGPT is approaching Bitcoin levels. Fortunately, this excitement leads to many new high-quality events, public grants, initiatives, and a renewed public discourse on AI policy and its economic impact.
With OpenAI announcing the release of the ChatGPT and Whisper API on March 1 interest will surely spark again - especially since the ChatGPT API is priced 10x lower than Davinci003, which has been since widely used by developers, we expect to see wider adoption of ChatGPT in existing and new products.

MagicDev sets new record for seed stage funding of an Austrian AI startup: Co-founders Eric Steinberger and Sebastian De Ro, two graduates from HTL Spengergasse’s high potential track led by Prof.Harald Zumpf, pulverized both the seed stage and series A record for the highest round of an Austrian AI startup.
